Job description

StaffMed Health Partners is recruiting a Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospitalist for a leading national physician services organization in Jacksonville, FL.

Position Highlights:
  • Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage on an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit (IRF)
  • Manage post-stroke, post-surgical, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and complex medical-rehab patients
  • Round daily, manage acute medical issues, and coordinate transitions back to acute care when needed
  • Collaborate with PM&R physiatrists, PT, OT, SLP, rehab nursing, and case management
  • Maintain compliance with the CMS 3-hour rule and 60% rule for IRF certification
Qualifications:
  • BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Minimum 2 years as an attending in an acute inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) preferred
  • Comfort with anticoagulation, post-op management, neuro recovery, and DVT prophylaxis
  • Familiarity with CMS IRF regulatory requirements (3-hour rule, 60% rule, CMG)
  • Active state license (or eligible) and DEA where applicable
