    Title: Network Engineer
    Reporting to: Director, Network Engineering
    Location: It is preferred that this position is based out of our Bethesda, MD office but can be based remotely. **US citizenship or permanent residency is required**
    Opportunity:
    GW RhythmX is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Network Engineer to implement and maintain network infrastructure.
    The Network Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day support of our local and remote networks, VPN connections, and associated systems and processes. Support duties include new installations, troubleshooting, and re-configuration of switches, routers, firewalls, and related devices including some Linux systems. The Network Engineer should possess a strong understanding of networking concepts coupled with strong customer service experience.
    In addition, the Network Engineer will participate in the management of new projects to grow and improve our systems and networks. Duties include but are not limited to the creation and maintenance of related documentation, automation, cloud and on-premises networking, along with client facing projects.
    Responsibilities:
    ● Design, implement, and troubleshoot on-premises, cloud, and hybrid networks
    ● Drive process improvements leveraging automation and open source technologies
    ● Maintain cloud network components within an Amazon Web Services environment
    ● Utilize automation tools to monitor, maintain, lower TCO and meet defined KPI’s
    ● Develop solutions that are reusable and can be broadly applied to common network problems
    ● Ensure network hardware and software are maintained and updated along with preventative maintenance
    ● Monitor and analyze the network environment to identify and resolve problems
    ● Ensure accountability for detail-orientation to deliver well-tested, secure, interoperable, reproducible
    technologies that support company vision and strategy
    ● Maintain effective relationships within the company
    ● Stay up to date with current and emerging network technologies
    ● Adhere to all organizational information security policies and protect all sensitive information including but not limited to ePHI and PHI in accordance with organizational policy and Federal, State, and local regulations
    Requirements:
    ● Understanding of networking concepts such as the OSI Model, TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, IPsec VPN, and NAT
    ● Knowledge of industry standard networking concepts, practices, procedures, and protocols
    ● Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (Amazon Web Services)
    ● Familiarity with at least one scripting language or configuration tool (Ansible, BASH, Python, etc…)
    ● Knowledge of wireless network design and troubleshooting
    ● Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills that result in conclusive recommendations / decisions
    ● Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, integrity and accountability
    ● Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
    ● Ability to be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and time-management skills
    ● Ability to have a flexible schedule to accommodate after-hours response to incident-related escalations when necessary
