Position Title:ย 

Roving Loan Processor/MSR

Reports To:ย 

Branch Manager and/or Regional Director

Basic Function:ย 

Perform clerical work for loans and open new Credit Union memberships.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to various branch locations, as assigned, to assist when short-staffed.
  • Greets members as they enter the lobby in an outgoing, courteous manner.
  • Prepare loans for Loan Officer; input applicant information, run credit reports, print queues, and pull-up NADA value.
  • Book loans and ensure the proper disbursement of proceeds. Sets-up direct deposit allocations for loan payments.ย ย 
  • Process loans on computer and update loan data. Answer phone inquiries regarding loans, NADA values, and calls to Loan Officer and/or Branch Manager.ย ย 
  • Forward approved loans to Quality Control and denied loans to the Loan Committee.ย ย 
  • Cross-sells every product and service as needed to meet the financial needs of the individual member.ย 
  • Reviews membership applications for approval; opens and provides information on all credit union account types.ย ย ย 
  • Assists members with direct deposits, IRAs, CDs, check orders, address changes, automatic transfer, wire transfers and other financial needs.ย ย 
  • Instructs members on the proper use of the Audio Response System, Home Banking, Bill Payer, plastic services (ATM, Check Card, and Gift Cards) and Moneyline transfers.ย 
  • ย Prints and reviews member statements or account histories, counsels' members regarding the activity of their accounts.ย 
  • Makes correction to accounts as needed. Alert to warnings of fraud and able to detect and avoid possible fraudulent activity.
  • Assist with various branch duties as needed.
  • Adheres to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.ย ย 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the loan and/or member service department of a credit union or equivalent experience with similar financial institutions.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent, with some college preferred.ย 
  • Competent computer skills and use of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to meet, speak and deal effectively with people, being professional always.
  • Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • While the following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented, identified physical requirements include the ability to operate normal office equipment and some lifting not to exceed 25 pounds.
