Our client, a leading global professional services organization. We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Technology Application Engineer to lead the implementation, administration, integration, and ongoing optimization of enterprise Human Resources technology platforms.


This is a highly visible technical role responsible for supporting HR systems that drive recruiting, onboarding, learning management, talent management, employee lifecycle, and performance management across a global organization.


The ideal candidate combines deep HR technology expertise with strong application engineering skills and enjoys partnering with HR, Information Technology, Security, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation, configuration, enhancement, and ongoing support of enterprise HR technology platforms.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for HR applications throughout their lifecycle.
  • Provide advanced Level 3 support by troubleshooting complex application issues and implementing long-term solutions.
  • Design and maintain integrations between HR systems using APIs, web services, and middleware technologies.
  • Partner closely with HR, IT, Security, and business leaders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Configure workflows, automation, security roles, and business processes to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Support Learning Management Systems (LMS), recruiting platforms, talent management, onboarding, and performance management solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, and governance across HR applications.
  • Develop SQL queries, reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making.
  • Manage vendor relationships, software upgrades, testing, and production deployments.
  • Create technical documentation, support procedures, and system standards.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement across the HR technology ecosystem.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years supporting, implementing, or administering enterprise HR technology platforms.
  • Strong experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), talent management, and performance management platforms.
  • Experience leading enterprise application implementations and system enhancements.
  • Hands-on experience supporting SaaS applications and cloud-based enterprise software.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, Single Sign-On (SSO), SAML, and OAuth.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and developing reports.
  • Programming or scripting experience with Java, .NET, Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
  • HRIS platforms (Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, ADP, or similar)
  • Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone, Docebo, SAP SuccessFactors Learning, Moodle, or similar)
  • Applicant Tracking Systems and Talent Acquisition platforms
  • HR analytics and dashboard development
  • Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Entra ID, and identity management
  • HR technology experience within a large enterprise, professional services, consulting, or legal environment
