Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant-A/R offers a host of accounting support to the Wilmot Modular Accounting Department in the area of Accounts Receivable. With a strong understanding of collections process, the AR Staff Accountant provides support for the financial objectives of our company and will be an important part of the monthly closing process.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in billing under the direction of the Billing Manager
  • Assist in the collections process and diligent follow through on outstanding balances
  • Assist in customer account research and communication of findings
  • Assist in running financial reports as part of the month end close process
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and explaining transaction history as needed.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of various accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Perform special projects as directed by senior leadership

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or the equivalent combined education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of A/R and collections experience, preferably within the construction or modular construction industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Salesforce and Sage a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience working in a multi-branch organization.
  • Have a solid work ethic that includes doing the right thing, reliability, trustworthiness and honesty.
