Job description

Valley Medical Group, part of the Valley Health System in Paramus, New Jersey, is seeking a Director for our Metabolism and Weight Loss Program.

The Director of the Metabolism and Weight Loss program will oversee all aspects of the Valley LifeStart medical weight loss program and will coordinate and integrate medical weight loss services across Valley Health System. The Director will lead the strategic vision and direction of the comprehensive medical weight loss program ensuring alignment of goals with the Bariatric Center of Excellence and the organizations mission and goals. The Director will lead a team of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and dieticians to provide a holistic and comprehensive approach to weigh management. Physician will provide clinical services as a bariatrician providing medical weight management services including screening and follow up patients for obesity and obesity-related comorbidities, perform body composition & metabolic assessments, counsel on lifestyle changes, and participate in a multidisciplinary team-based approach for medical weight loss.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Prior management and leadership experience in Obesity Medicine
  • Board eligible or certification in Obesity Medicine or Endocrinology
  • Existing or Eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA and CDS required
