Starting Salary Range: $70,117 - $81,690, commensurate with experience

Summary
The Director of Med Ed Administration is provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the medical education curriculum at a community-based medical school. This role ensures the curriculum is effectively delivered, continuously improved, and aligned with accreditation standards. The director works closely with faculty, staff, students, and community partners to support a learner-centered, service-oriented educational environment.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery and Support: Manage the implementation of the curriculum as designed by the curriculum committee, in collaboration with the course directors.Lead process management and improvement projects, that enhance efficiency and reduce administrative burden.Coordinate with faculty, staff, and other departments to support curriculum delivery and student success. Independently anticipate and mitigate challenges.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentors the curriculum operations team to ensure smooth delivery of the curriculum in collaboration with Office of Medical Education leadership. Supervise, train and evaluate the performance of staff. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of curriculum operations. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
Budget Management and Oversight: Oversee the Medical Education budget, including planning, monitoring, and reporting. Ensure compliance with university financial policies.
System Optimization: Oversee system utilization, e.g., Canvas, Oasis, and ExamSoft. Serve as liaison with other college and university offices to ensure effective use of systems. Standardize internal processes and procedures for system utilization.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Evidence of supervisory and leadership skills
  • Experience in performance/process improvement, change management, Lean implementation

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree
  • Lean Six Sigma experience

Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and screen and other office equipment.
