Mathnasium of Garden Grove is seeking a bilingual Assistant Center Director who enjoys working with students, mentoring instructors, and building strong relationships with families.
This role is ideal for college students, recent graduates, teaching credential candidates, or experienced educators who want to develop skills in education leadership, student engagement, and center operations while making a meaningful impact on students' academic success.
We strongly encourage bilingual candidates who enjoy working with the Vietnamese community and supporting local families in their educational journey to apply.
Schedule
Consistent weekly schedule:
• Weekday 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM (after school)
• Saturday morning availability required
• Five-day availability preferred
This is an in-person position.
Reliable Transportation is required

This schedule works well for college students with daytime classes or educators seeking part-time leadership experience.

Responsibilities
As an Assistant Center Director, you will support both the educational and operational success of the center.
Key responsibilities include:
• Partnering with the Center Director on daily center operations
• Communicating with students and parents (English and Vietnamese required)
• Conducting student assessments and consultations
• Coaching and mentoring instructors to ensure high-quality instruction
• Supporting scheduling, reporting, and student record management
• Building relationships with families, schools, and the local community
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who are:
Fluent in English and Vietnamese
• Experienced in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring students
• Strong communicators who can connect with both children and adults, both in-person, calls, and written format
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Passionate about helping students succeed
Additional qualifications:
• Background or coursework in math, education, or STEM
• Strong math competency (Algebra I&2, Geometry, Trig, Stat, Calculus required; AP Calculus and AP Stats preferred)
• Positive, professional, and team-oriented mindset
