Job Description:

LNA II - Maternity

Who We Are:

Elliot Hospital's Women's and Children's Services are dedicated to addressing the specific health and wellness needs of women and their children. Our Maternity unit is a 24-26 bed unit averaging 14 mother/baby patients with 55 employees. Patients are high and low risk post-partum mom & babies 35 weeks gestation and above, substance-exposed infants, management of hyperbilirubinemia and hypoglycemia in the newborn, post gynecological surgery.

About the Job:

The LNA II, under general direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager and direct supervision of the RN is an integral member of the care delivery team by performing direct and indirect patient care through clinical tasks within the scope of LNA practice and by providing personal care and emotional support.

What You'll Do:

  • Activities of daily living
  • Report all observations, symptoms, deviations from normal, and changes in patient's condition to RN
  • Provide basic support to patients and families
  • Documents in selected areas of the medical record as appropriate

Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current New Hampshire licensure as LNA required
  • Experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
