Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.

Job Description & Requirements

Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
13-Week Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Join a highly experienced Level IV Maternal Care team caring for some of the most complex and high-risk obstetric patients at any gestational age.

Assignment Details
  • Specialty: Labor & Delivery RN
  • Contract: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Department: L&D – 708
  • Call: No on-call required
  • Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
  • Scrubs: Navy blue

Unit Details
  • 22 beds, including 16 labor beds
  • Level IV Maternal Center – highest level of maternal care
  • Patient ratios typically 1:1–1:2
  • Approximately 100 RNs and support staff
  • Dedicated charge RN, surgical techs, unit clerk, and bedside RNs
  • EMR: CPN and Meditech
  • Very tenured team with experienced, supportive leadership
  • Manager and Director are willing to assist with direct patient care when census requires
  • Unit is undergoing renovations to update patient rooms
Required Experience

Candidates must have:

  • Experience caring for high-risk maternal patients
  • L&D triage experience
  • Experience circulating in the OR
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

Preferred: 5+ years of L&D experience

Procedures / Patient Population

RNs may assist with:

  • Vaginal deliveries
  • Cesarean sections
  • Tubal ligations
  • Cerclage placement and removal
  • D&C procedures
  • Cesarean hysterectomy
  • Placenta accreta spectrum / complex high-risk cases
