Recorded Future is seeking a technically credible, hands-on leader for the Sales Engineering team supporting our US Public Sector business. This role is ideal for a builder with deep security expertise, proven PreSales leadership, and experience navigating complex government environments. You'll join as Recorded Future strengthens its dedicated US Government organization, backed by Mastercard and an established position in threat intelligence. This is a rare opportunity to lead a talented team and help shape the evolution of our Public Sector business.
What You'll Do as the Senior Manager, Sales Engineering - US Public Sector
  • Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of Sales Engineers supporting Federal, DoD and Intelligence Community, Civilian, State, and Local Government customers.
  • Establish a consistent operating model across team coverage, technical sales processes, performance expectations, and leadership visibility.
  • Assess team capabilities and capacity, addressing development, hiring, performance, and career-growth needs.
  • Partner with Public Sector sales leaders to clarify Account Director and Sales Engineer accountability and create a more proactive working model.
  • Standardize technical discovery, demonstrations, Proof of Value engagements, technical validation, and post-sale handoffs.
  • Lead from the front on strategic opportunities and help the team secure the technical win.
  • Partner with Product, Professional Services, Intelligence Services, and Channel to improve customer outcomes and inform Public Sector strategy.
What You'll Bring as the Senior Manager, Sales Engineering - US Public Sector
  • 4+ years leading a Sales Engineering, PreSales, or technical selling organization within cybersecurity.
  • Meaningful experience supporting Public Sector customers, ideally including Federal, DoD, or Intelligence Community organizations.
  • Deep technical knowledge of threat intelligence and security operations, including SIEM, SOAR, APIs, integrations, and related technologies.
  • Experience building or improving Sales Engineering processes, coverage models, operating rhythms, and performance visibility.
  • A track record of developing mixed-tenure teams, hiring strong talent, and addressing performance gaps.
  • The ability to personally support sophisticated discovery, demonstrations, Proof of Value engagements, and technical customer conversations.
  • A hands-on, highly accountable leadership style with strong cross-functional and executive communication skills.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $179,500 - $251,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The salary displayed reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by state, work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K.
