Title and Summary

Principle Technology Risk AnalystOverview
The Technology Controls Governance team is seeking a Principal, Technology Risk Analyst to help build and mature Mastercard's technology control testing and assurance program.
This role will lead the development, enhancement, and implementation of risk-based testing methodologies, testing standards, and governance practices used to assess the effectiveness of technology controls across the enterprise. Working closely with Technology, Risk, 2nd line of defense, and Regulatory stakeholders, this individual will help ensure a scalable, auditable, and sustainable approach to control testing and regulatory readiness.
Role
Lead the planning, execution, reporting, and continuous improvement of Mastercard's technology control testing methodology.
Develop and maintain risk-based testing methodologies including testing frequency, control inventories, and testing priorities.
Establish and streamlining testing procedures, evidence requirements, and sampling approaches.
Partner with Technology, Risk, 2nd line of defense and Regulatory teams to enhance processes based on iterative feedback.
Analyze federated testing priorities and identify synergies and provide guidance to stakeholders to influence testing decisions.
Connect control testing results to risk themes and partner with various stakeholders to communicate findings to leadership and governance stakeholders.
Support audits, regulatory examinations, and assurance activities through clear reporting and documentation.
Drive improvements through automation, A.I, analytics, and scalable testing processes.
Influence the ongoing maturity of Mastercard's technology risk and control environment.
All About You
Experience developing risk-based testing approaches and prioritizing assurance activities.
Experience in Technology Risk, IT Audit, Technology Controls, Compliance Testing, Cybersecurity Risk, or Controls Assurance.
Strong background leading or executing technology control testing, internal audit, or risk assessment programs.
Deep understanding of control testing methodologies, evidence evaluation, sampling, issue management, and remediation validation.
Ability to translate regulatory and risk requirements into practical testing and control assessment practices.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience in financial services, payments, or other highly regulated environments preferred.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.
