This Position reports to:

Service Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

We're looking for a Market Development Specialist to drive growth in the Advisory of Engineering & Protection. You'll identify and engage key customers-including consultants, contractors, and end-users-to create demand for ABB's electrical distribution and Advisory solutions. Working closely with our sales and business teams, you'll combine technical knowledge with strategic business development to build our market position.


The work model for the role is: Hybrid and this position is a replacement of a current role.
This role is contributing to the ELSE Division.
You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Build and maintain relationships with target customers (consultants, contractors, end-users) to understand their needs and position ABB solutions - Engineering & Protection and control in the region market

  • Develop and execute market plans that drive demand and identify sales opportunities in Central region

  • Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and regularly report on progress and conversion rates

  • Provide technical expertise and value engineering support to customers and internal sales teams for Engineering & Protection and control

  • Conduct training sessions with customers and sales teams to build knowledge of ABB's Engineering & Protection and control solutions

  • Collaborate with product marketing and sales teams to tailor solutions for specific customer applications

  • Identify and address market challenges, competitive threats, and roadblocks to growth Service solutions in the country and assigned region

Qualifications for the role:
  • 8+ years of sales, business development, or account management experience in commercial and/or industrial markets
  • Strong knowledge of engineering, protection products for electrical distribution systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence consultants and end-users; experience with complex, long-cycle sales a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)- French language skills would be advantage
  • Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Professional engineering designation or ongoing professional development in electrical engineering preferred

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $107,625 and 157,850 annually and is bonus eligible.
