Hudson Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager to help lead one of our Zaxby’s restaurants. Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager supports daily operations, develops the team and helps drive strong restaurant performance.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can lead shifts, maintain high standards and take ownership of results.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • One to three years of restaurant-leadership experience preferred
  • Quick-service restaurant experience preferred
  • Ability to lead shifts, coach team members and hold others accountable
  • Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of scheduling, inventory, labor and food-cost management
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it
  • Ability to complete all required Zaxby’s training

What You’ll Do

As Assistant General Manager, you will:

  • Support the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations
  • Lead shifts and ensure all positions are staffed and operating effectively
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, guest service, cleanliness, accuracy and speed
  • Coach and develop Restaurant Directors, shift leaders and team members
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training and employee retention
  • Build schedules that support business needs and labor-productivity goals
  • Help manage inventory, food costs, waste and product variance
  • Monitor restaurant performance and help implement improvement plans
  • Resolve guest and team-member concerns promptly and professionally
  • Ensure food-safety, workplace-safety and brand standards are followed
  • Complete required checklists, audits and operating routines
  • Support new products, promotions and company initiatives
  • Help create a positive, accountable and performance-driven culture
  • Step in to lead the restaurant when the General Manager is unavailable
