NOW HIRING: SHOP FOREMAN
Middlefield, OH
Direct Hire Opportunity through Mancan Chardon Office
Mancan is partnering with a growing manufacturing facility in Middlefield that is seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Foreman to join their team! This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability and leadership growth within the company.
Schedule:
Normal hours range from 4050 hours per week depending on shop floor production needs.
Current schedule is approximately:
6:00 AM 5:00 PM
(Occasional extended hours may be required to ensure daily truck shipments are completed.)
Pay:
Salary To Be Determined
Responsibilities Include:
Manage the following departments:
* Assembly
* Trimming
* Balancing
* Warehouse
* Packaging
Improve productivity through:
* Communication
* Documentation
* Employee training
Train employees in:
* Core responsibilities
* Cross-functional production areas
Evaluate employee performance and communicate improvement needs to management
Ensure production goals and on-time shipping schedules are met
Communicate shop capacity and staffing needs to management
Report disciplinary issues and workplace accidents promptly
Recommend improvements in:
* Tooling
* Procedures
* Safety policies
Maintain professional and ethical business practices
Perform additional duties assigned by the Production Manager
Performance Standards:
Train employees to perform responsibilities independently within probationary period
Maintain at least a 90% on-time shipping rate
Keep interdepartmental reject rate below 5%
Complete accident and disciplinary reports within 1 day
Follow all company handbook policies and procedures
Training Requirements:
Understanding of:
* Quality Management Systems
* Company production methods
* D365
* Reading work orders
* Warehouse organization
* Shipping department organization
Safety & Equipment Training:
* Lift truck operation & safety
* Incoming truck safety
* Incoming component inspection
Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years of production management experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
Skills Needed:
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong leadership and teamwork abilities
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to supervise and motivate others
Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours daily
Ability to lift and move 50 lbs throughout the day
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
