Responsibilities
Handle construction litigation matters from pre-litigation through trial and appeal.
Represent clients in disputes involving public and private construction projects.
Manage cases involving contractors, subcontractors, owners, design professionals, construction managers, suppliers, manufacturers, and sureties.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents.
Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy recommendations.
Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
Communicate regularly with clients regarding case progress and legal strategy.
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, experts, and consultants to achieve favorable outcomes.
Manage multiple active matters while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active California Bar membership in good standing.
U.S. citizenship required.
5-7 years of construction litigation, construction defense, or closely related litigation experience.
Strong understanding of construction law, contracts, and dispute resolution processes.
Excellent legal writing, analytical, organizational, and oral advocacy skills.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
