Job description

Role Overview:
This IT Business Analyst role at Thermo Fisher Scientific focuses on implementing the OSCAR Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to enable electronic batch records (EBR) and integrate equipment and OCPLM for CSD Frederick Manufacturing. The objective is to mitigate batch record-related errors, automate data capture for easier access and audit trails, and enhance manufacturing efficiency by decreasing lead times. The analyst will bridge business needs with technology solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to analyze processes, gather requirements, create user stories, facilitate workshops, and ensure successful solution delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partnering with Manufacturing Operations in creating business value through new product introductions, productivity, and process improvements.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between business and IT teams.
  • Create and maintain business and functional requirements.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing and End User Training.
  • Have a good understanding of MES systems.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations.

Required Skills:
  • Extensive experience in Agile methodologies and project management principles.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting using tools like Excel, Power BI, SQL.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and other project management/documentation tools.

Qualifications:

  • Experience Required: 6-8 years.
