Job description

The Director provides leadership for operational, staffing and service functions of the lab. Works in partnership with the Lab Director. Focuses on workforce leadership, workflow efficiency, service quality and cross department collaboration for both inpatient and outpatient services. The Director ensures the lab operates with high levels of staff engagement, patient satisfaction and efficiency while supporting regulatory compliance and quality standards.

  • Masters degree
  • 5 years clinical experience
  • 3 years leadership experience
  • Knowledge of laboratory regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, The Joint Commission)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
