As theDirector of Product Management - Provider Network & Interoperability, you will lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for the technology that powers Progyny's provider network, clinical data exchange, and partner integrations. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare technology, platform scalability, provider experience, and operational efficiency.

You will partner closely with Engineering, Clinical Operations,ProviderServices,Provider Account Management,Data & Analytics, and external provider partners to deliver scalable, secure, and interoperable solutions that support Progyny's managed networkfor fertilityand women's health specialists.

A successful candidate will be a hands-on product leader with deep healthcare technology experience, strong technical fluency, and the ability to translate complex interoperability and platform needs into clear product strategy, measurable outcomes, and high-quality execution.

What you'll do...
  • Own and evolve the product strategy for provider network technology, interoperability, clinical data exchange, and partner integrations.

  • Develop andmaintaina multi-quarter roadmap aligned to business goals, client needs, provider partner needs, and technical strategy.

  • Partner withProduct, Engineering, Operations, and business leaders to prioritize investments that improve scalability, maintainability, provider experience, and operational efficiency.

  • Balance strategic initiatives with tactical delivery needs, ensuring teams can deliver both near-term value and long-term platform capabilities.

  • Lead product efforts related to EMR integrations, practice management software integrations, APIs, clinical data exchange, claims/utilization data, and provider-facing workflows.

  • Ensure solutions align with healthcare interoperability standards and best practices, including HL7, FHIR, EDI, data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.

  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure products are built with flexibility, scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

  • Identifytechnical risks early, align stakeholders on tradeoffs, and communicate risks, dependencies, and decisions clearly to leadership.

  • Guidediscovery efforts with internal stakeholders, provider partners, and users to understand needs, pain points, and opportunities.

  • Translate complex business, clinical, operational, and technical needs into clear product requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

  • Establish success metrics and KPIs to measure impact on provider experience, member outcomes, operational efficiency, data quality, scalability, and ROI.

  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to evaluate product performance and continuously improve solutions after launch.

  • Facilitate alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding of priorities, tradeoffs, and outcomes.

  • Build strong relationships with provider partners and internal teams to support joint exploration, feedback loops, and successful adoption.

  • Communicate product strategy, roadmap progress, risks, andoutcomes clearlytoleadershipand cross-functional audiences.

  • Grow, lead, coach, and mentora team ofproduct managers.

  • Partner with otherProductLeadersand ProductOperations to helpdefine and improve product management processes, frameworks, standards, and operating rhythms.

  • Partner with Engineering leadership to align Agile execution models, delivery practices, and resource planning with the type of work being delivered.

  • Champion strong product practices, including discovery, roadmap planning, backlog management, stakeholder communication, and data-driven decision-making.

About you...
  • 7-10+ years of product managementexperienceinhealthcare technology.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, provider operations, EMRs, practice management systems, clinical data exchange, claims/utilization data, and healthcare data platforms.

  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards, integration methods, and regulatory concepts, including HL7, FHIR, EDI, APIs, data privacy, data security,utilizationmanagement, provider credentialing, provider search, and clinical outcomes.

  • Ability to partner closely with Engineering and Architecture teams to make informed product decisions related to software architecture, scalability, technical debt, integrations, and platform capabilities.

  • Proven ability to define product strategy, build roadmaps, prioritize complex work, and drive initiatives from discovery through launch and post-launch optimization.

  • Experienced in a player/coach leadership role leading product managers, productmanagers, or cross-functional delivery teams.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and align stakeholders across functions.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to define KPIs, assess outcomes, synthesize insights, and make data-informed decisions in ambiguous or complex situations.

  • Experience delivering products in Agile environments, including Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery models.

  • Experience with product roadmap and execution tools such as Jira, Confluence,ProductBoard, Monday, or similar platforms. Familiarity with Figma,LucidChart, SQL, Excel.

  • Experience or interest in fertility, reproductive health, women's health, or broader healthcare verticals is strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $175,000 - $195,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required.
