Job description

Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward - always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

Kyndryl Consult is the fastest-growing business within the organization and instrumental to the company's strategic growth objectives. As a Consult Partner, you will play a key leadership role across multi-disciplinary teams, guiding them through complex consulting engagements and creating strategic change agendas within Kyndryl's largest accounts across the C-suite - spanning the intersection of complex business and IT transformation.

We are hiring a Consult Partner to drive meaningful growth within an existing portfolio of insurance accounts. These accounts have foundational relationships in place but represent significant white space - limited Kyndryl footprint with substantial runway for expansion. This is a hunter-farmer hybrid role for someone who thrives in building from a base, not inheriting a mature book of business.

You will own, run, and grow a targeted set of accounts - focusing your energy where you have the greatest right to win and where clients have an immediate need to modernize mission-critical business lines through AI-driven transformation.

Sector Focus

  • Deep expertise in the Insurance sector, including carriers and distribution ecosystems

  • Strong understanding of policy administration systems (PAS) and the surrounding technology landscape (billing, claims, CRM, data, actuarial platforms)

  • Familiarity with leading core platforms (e.g., Vantage, FAST, ALIP, Sapiens, etc.) and modernization programs

Sales & Client Engagement

  • Proven track record of originating, shaping, and closing both complex and straightforward transformation deals within Life Insurance

  • Ability to engage C-suite and senior business/technology stakeholders to identify opportunities and drive pipeline growth

  • Skilled at translating business challenges into technology-led solutions that deliver measurable value

  • Acts as a trusted advisor, guiding clients on modernization strategies while aligning solutions to business priorities

Core Capabilities

  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end insurance value chain, including:

    • Underwriting and new business

    • Policy administration and servicing

    • Actuarial modeling, valuation, and risk management

    • Finance, reporting, and regulatory operations

  • Ability to credibly engage actuarial, underwriting, and finance stakeholders, translating between technical, actuarial, and business perspectives to shape and sell solutions

  • Ability to position and sell modernization of legacy PAS environments, including:

    • Cloud and platform transformation

    • Data and analytics enablement

    • Intelligent automation and AI

AI & Value Proposition

  • Ability to sell and articulate AI-driven transformation, including:

    • Use of AI/GenAI to enhance underwriting, actuarial insights, and customer lifecycle management

    • Application of Agentic AI to streamline policy administration and enterprise workflows

  • Clearly connects solutions to business outcomes, such as:

    • Faster underwriting and improved risk selection

    • Enhanced actuarial insight and financial forecasting

    • Improved customer and agent experience

    • Reduced operating costs and increased efficiency

Market Presence

  • Established relationships across Insurance carriers and ecosystem partners in the Northeast

  • Recognized as a strategic seller and advisor to both business and technology leaders, including actuarial, finance, and underwriting functions

Kyndryl currently does not require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, however, if you are hired to work at a client, customer, or partner location, you may be required to show proof ofvaccinationto align with their respective COVID-19vaccinationpolicies. Who You Are

You're good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important - you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused - someone who prioritizes customer success in their work. And finally, you're open and borderless - naturally inclusive in how you work with others.

What You Will Do

Account Growth & Business Development

  • Inherit a small portfolio of insurance accounts with existing paperwork and base-level traction - then grow them into sizable, meaningful revenue relationships

  • Operate with a hunter-farmer mindset: open new doors within existing accounts while identifying and converting net-new opportunities

  • Focus growth where you have the greatest right to win, prioritizing clients with immediate AI transformation needs and mission-critical modernization agendas

  • Support the identification, pursuit, and conversion of a pipeline of opportunities; manage scoping, fee negotiation, and risk across engagements

Client Engagement

  • Build and maintain deep relationships with client CXOs and senior executives - becoming a trusted advisor and the go-to person for strategic technology decisions

  • Lead C-level client interactions and consulting initiatives, delivering high-quality outcomes alongside senior stakeholders

  • Drive client satisfaction as measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS) and secure client references for expanded engagement

Financial Accountability

  • Drive significant financial outcomes through signings, revenue targets, and backlog growth

  • Ensure sustained profitability, managing margin expectations across engagements

  • Achieve individual and team utilization targets while maintaining delivery excellence

Leadership & Strategic Contribution

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams through complex consulting engagements, fostering a culture of curiosity, innovation, and continuous development

  • Utilize insurance industry and technology expertise to shape Kyndryl's strategic initiatives and align with the company's broader vision

  • Drive external eminence - developing thought leadership, intellectual capital, and a strong personal and organizational brand in the market

What You Bring
  • Proven, repeatable track record of owning, growing, and expanding accounts from a small base into significant revenue relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in white space - building relationships and pipeline in markets where infrastructure and brand recognition are still developing

  • Experience in a hunter-farmer hybrid capacity with measurable outcomes in both account expansion and new logo development

  • Comfort engaging at the CXO level with credibility, gravitas, and the ability to advise on both business strategy and technology transformation

  • Familiarity with AI-driven transformation use cases and the ability to articulate their value to insurance sector executives

  • Existing market relationships that accelerate time-to-trust with target accounts
