HarbourVest Partners is seeking an Associate - Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) who will support the Director, Enterprise Risk Management with the maintenance of the risk framework, incident management and the buildout of risk metrics. This role will focus on both the enterprise operational areas and technology functions that will conduct the independent identification and assessment of risks and issues.

What you will do:
  • Maintain the enterprise/operational risk frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement and monitor risk mitigation strategies and action plans
  • Support the ERM Incident Management Program through risk event triage
  • Utilize AI to enhance risk analytics
  • Provide training and support on risk management approaches
  • And other responsibilities as required
What you bring:
  • Demonstrated background in ERM or a related area
  • Understanding of financial services operational risks, controls, and processes
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex risk concepts clearly

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and deliver a high-quality work product while meeting key deadlines
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external partners across all levels at the Firm

Education Preferred

Bachelor of Arts (B.A) / Bachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems

Experience:
  • 5-8 Years experience in enterprise risk management or a similar role preferred (Senior Associate level)

Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint required; ServiceNow or similar GRC tool experience preferred

Base Salary Range

$90,000.00 - $100,000.00

This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements.

This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance.

In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs.

Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography.

Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
