The Prefabrication Director will be responsible for developing and executing a multi‑year prefabrication strategy, overseeing shop operations, and driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, productivity, and cost predictability. This role partners closely with project leadership, preconstruction, supply chain, virtual design, and field operations to deliver standardized, scalable prefabrication solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

This position provides enterprise‑level leadership with direct influence on operational excellence, innovation, and long‑term growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead prefabrication shop operations including workflow design, production scheduling, workforce planning, material logistics, quality control, and safety
  • Standardize prefabrication processes and assemblies to drive efficiency, quality, and scalability across projects and geographies
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to maximize throughput, eliminate waste, and consistently meet project schedules
  • Partner with operations, preconstruction, supply chain/procurement, and virtual design teams to identify prefabrication opportunities and evaluate cost and schedule impacts
  • Ensure seamless coordination between prefabrication deliverables and field installation sequencing to improve site efficiency and safety
  • Drive financial accountability for prefabrication operations, including cost control, profitability analysis, and investment recommendations
  • Analyze performance metrics related to efficiency, cost savings, quality, and on‑time delivery; collaborate with estimating and procurement teams to optimize ROI
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and equipment solutions to enhance productivity, innovation, and safety
  • Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports; set goals, delegate responsibilities, and support professional growth
  • Champion company values, ethics, and a culture of continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For:

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of electrical construction experience
  • At least 7 years of leadership experience overseeing prefabrication or manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated success implementing lean manufacturing practices and scaling innovative, companywide initiatives
  • Proven ability to develop strategic plans, lead change management efforts, and influence cross‑functional teams
  • OSHA 30 preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • An industry‑related bachelor’s degree is required; equivalent education and experience may be considered

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and decision‑making capabilities
  • Excellent business acumen with the ability to evaluate cost, margin, and operational risk
  • Ability to lead teams through change and ambiguity in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong relationship‑building, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills
  • Detail‑oriented with a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement

Technology:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with project management, design, and manufacturing execution software such as Procore, Revit, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools
  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies to support prefabrication and manufacturing excellence

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Pay
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package with Tax‑Advantaged HSA and FSA offerings
  • Employer‑Paid Short‑ and Long‑Term Disability Programs
  • Employer‑Paid Life Insurance
  • Generous Paid Time Off Provisions
  • 401K Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match
