The Director of Account Strategy serves as a strategic leader and the North Star for the agency’s accounts, driving innovation, collaboration, and growth beyond the boundaries of client services. This role is designed for a visionary, results-driven professional who thrives in a leadership position. This role will be guiding the account services team, cultivating deep client partnerships, and co-piloting the agency’s direction alongside the Creative Director and executive leadership.

CORE FOCUS:

Client Success & Strategic Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to key clients, driving strategic direction and innovative solutions
  • Lead strategy workshops and planning sessions to uncover opportunities for growth and measurable success
  • Ensure all deliverables align with client objectives, agency standards, and market trends

Job Description
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the account team for success, ensuring growth, performance, and collaboration
  • Oversee strategy for high-value accounts while providing guidance and oversight for all agency clients
  • Conduct strategy sessions, facilitate innovative brainstorming, and lead the creation of actionable, results-oriented plans
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and senior leadership to shape agency vision, processes, and new approaches
  • Provide strategic counsel and high-level communication to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Participate in forecasting, resource allocation, and financial planning to meet agency targets
  • Support the acquisition and onboarding of new talent while nurturing a high-retention environment
  • Contribute to the reporting and analysis process, translating data and insights into strategic recommendations
Skills and Abilities Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, advertising, or communications, preferably in an agency environment with specific strategic responsibilities
  • Demonstrated success leading strategic client relationships and driving measurable growth
  • Deep expertise in multi-channel, integrated marketing, leveraging digital, traditional, and innovative platforms to build cohesive, results-driven campaigns
  • Strong command of emerging technologies and analytics, including AI-powered tools for insight generation, performance optimization, and strategic foresight to drive smarter, data-informed decision-making
  • Excellent business acumen, including revenue forecasting, resource management, and profitability analysis
  • Proven ability to mentor and inspire teams to deliver exceptional work and grow professionally
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
