Your role and responsibilities The CROCS Senior Strategic Deputy/POM & Budget Integration Officer will serve as a deputy to the Technical Director for the Cyber Resiliency Office for Control Systems (CROCS). In this role you will - * Stand-in and represent the CROCS equities and programmatic direction at executive, senior-level engagements, lead and synchronize Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) activities across the Department of the Air Force and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) for Defense Critical Infrastructure cybersecurity & cyber defense initiatives. * Lead high-visibility discussions with senior leadership, bringing in-depth knowledge of Air Force cybersecurity, budget processes and experience at the Pentagon. * Serve as a principal liaison between Headquarters Air Force and DAF / DOW cyber stakeholders (e.g. 16AF, USCYBERCOM, DCDC) and OSD Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) to ensure cohesive resource allocation, financial oversight, and strategic alignment. * Act as a strategic thinker with deep subject-matter expertise in cybersecurity, infrastructure, DoD budgetary processes, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to deliver decision-quality analysis at the highest levels of the Department of Defense Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Master's Degree Required technical and professional expertise * Pentagon/Joint Staff Operations: 5+ years navigating OSD governance, staffing processes, and senior‐level decision forums
* DoD PPBE/POM Expertise: 8+ years directly supporting Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution cycles
* Air Force Budget Formulation & Execution: 5+ years hands-on with Program Element Budgets, CAIG interactions, and finance modernization
* Dept of Air Force Cybersecurity and Defensive Cyber Operations experience (5+ years)
* Executive Briefing Development & Delivery: 5+ years preparing and presenting decision-quality briefs, white papers, and memoranda to Flag Officers and SES
* Cross-Agency Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement: 5+ years liaising with MAJCOM directorates, Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, and OSD CAPE
* MAJCOM Staff Action Officer Duties: 3+ years drafting staff action packages, staffing memos, and multi-agency coordination products
* Active DOD TOP SECRET / SCI eligible clearance Preferred technical and professional experience * Professional Military Education/Joint Qualification (JPME I/II): completion preferred; 2+ years applying joint doctrine
* Master's Degree in Defense Analysis, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field: 3+ years post-graduate analytic experience
* Financial Data Systems (PRISM, Forum, SAP-FSC): 3+ years hands-on use
* Process Improvement & Policy Development: 4+ years leading workflow optimization and governance initiatives
* High-Visibility Environment Adaptability: 3+ years operating in fast-paced DoD or Pentagon settings
* Audit Readiness & Performance-Based Allocation: 2+ years implementing transparent financial controls and metrics
