Position Overview
Director of Human Resources. Full Time. Located at Cornerstone Corporate Office in Indianapolis, IN 46260. Salary range $125,000 to $145,000 per year. Travel up to 25 percent. The Director oversees all aspects of the Human Resources function, aligning HR strategies with business goals, managing recruitment and employee relations, ensuring legal compliance, fostering a positive work environment and supporting employee development.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Support current and future business needs through development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
- Assess training needs, apply and monitor training programs.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist in due diligence and cultural integration of new teams.
- Participate in annual planning sessions to forecast growth and labor needs for the next 3 to 5 years.
- Partner with Marketing to ensure the company voice and vision is consistent.
- Lead the People side of business continuity plans, coordinating safety protocols during public health crisis or natural disaster.
- Draft company-wide announcements regarding sensitive topics, organizational shifts, or global events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in a Human Resources related field.
- SHRM-CP, SCP, SPHR, or PHR certification.
- Proven experience as an HR leader, preferably in a director-level role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with Paycom HRIS (Strongly Preferred).
- Ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
- Capability to lead and develop a high-performing HR team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintains confidentiality and acts ethically in all HR matters.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into HR initiatives.

Work Environment
The HR Director operates in a professional office environment and may involve occasional travel to regional sites to support local management and maintain organizational culture.
