Known for its immersive, whimsical interiors, the brand has grown to 25 boutiques across the U.S. and London. Coveted collaborations include Victoria’s Secret PINK, Gap, Target, Stanley, Pottery Barn, Bogner, and more. In 2023, LoveShackFancy launched Beauty exclusively at Sephora, inviting millions into its rose-colored world of whimsy and celebration.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an Associate Design Director to lead and elevate our Home category, bringing our signature romantic, feminine aesthetic to life across furniture, softgoods (bedding, pillows, throws), textiles, decor, tabletop, and lifestyle accessories. This role blends creative vision with hands‑on execution — you'll own the design point of view for Home while partnering closely with merchandising, product development, and sourcing teams to bring collections from concept to shelf.

The ideal candidate is a passionate design leader with a deep understanding of home aesthetics, print and pattern development, and an ability to translate brand DNA into covetable, sellable products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the end-to-end design vision and creative direction for the Home category, ensuring every product reflects brand identity and elevates the overall home assortment

  • Lead the development of seasonal concepts, mood boards, colorways, prints, and material stories from initial ideation through final production

  • Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing creative feedback, technical guidance, and professional development

  • Partner cross-functionally with merchandising and buying teams to align design direction with sales strategy, pricing, and market trends

  • Collaborate with product development and sourcing to ensure designs are executed with quality, feasibility, and brand integrity in mind

  • Conduct market research and trend forecasting across home, textiles, and lifestyle categories to keep the brand ahead of the curve

  • Review and approve technical packages, prototypes, and samples throughout the development process

  • Oversee print, pattern, and surface design development, including original artwork and licensed collaborations

  • Lead design development for softgoods, including bedding, pillows, throws, and other textile-driven categories, ensuring quality construction and fabrication details that align with brand standards

  • Present design concepts and seasonal collections to senior leadership and key stakeholders

  • Ensure all designs align with production timelines, cost targets, and quality standards

  • Travel as needed for factory visits, trade shows, and sourcing trips

What You Bring

  • 7-10+ years of design experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or senior design role, ideally within home decor, softgoods, textiles, furniture, or a related lifestyle category

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Textile Design, Interior Design, Fine Arts, or a related field

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating original print, pattern, and product design across home categories

  • Proven experience managing and developing a design team

  • Deep knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and production timelines for home goods

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); experience with CAD or 3D rendering software is a plus

  • Strong understanding of color theory, textile development, and surface pattern design

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative vision to cross-functional partners and leadership

  • A collector's eye for vintage, antique, and heritage references, with the ability to translate inspiration into modern, market-ready product

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • A genuine passion for the brand's aesthetic and lifestyle
