Your role at Clorox:
BU Embedded Insights Lead is responsible for leading all consumer and market intelligence for the GLAD Business Unit. This person is the insights integrator and key strategic advisor to the business. This role reports to BU Marketing Director and represents the holistic voice of consumer through integrated consumer, brand, shopper, product, competitive and marketplace insights. Embedded Insights Lead grows and leverages BU Knowledge Base, develops and directs Learning Plan to deliver BU's topline, profit, innovation, sustainability and other business objectives.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve asinsights integratorfor the BU, offeringstrategic thought partnershipto the GM, Marketing, Sales and R&D Studio Leadership.
  • Ensure the business has a 360 degree view of the consumer and marketplace dynamics, and leverage it to maximize the outcome of business decisions.
  • Spark BU growth with best-in-class insights across core/base business and brands, innovation, category leadership, revenue growth management and other key business growth drivers.
  • Manage, mine, synthesize and grow BU's Knowledge Base to ensure integrity and richness of insights. Continuously leverage existing and direct generation of new insights to inform business decisions.
  • Develop Learning Plan as part of annual business planning cycle, maintain and update Learning Plan at least on a quarterly basis.
  • Direct execution of BU's Learning Plan, orchestrating specialized resources across BU Embedded Insights, Dynamic Deployment, Shopper Insights, Insights Capabilities, Consumer Learning Center & Sensory, and external vendors.
  • Advise Marketing Director on research needs required to deliver Business Plan and secure resources. Support Marketing Director in finalizing research Briefs for Dynamic Deployment engagement.
  • Maximize insights ROI by managing resources efficiently.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships and foster integration of knowledge across the Clorox organization.
  • Connect the BU and central Insights teams, promoting two-way knowledge flow and best practices. Influence total Insights, Marketing and Enterprise capability development priorities.

What we look for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of market research experience
  • Experience in CPG/FMCG categories strongly preferred
  • Broad and deep research expertise across most facets of base/core brand, innovation, shopper, product and competitive intelligence
  • Broad experience across the full range of market research methodologies (qual & quant), data and vendors
  • Strong record of partnership with senior business stakeholders across Marketing, Sales and R&D and evidence of influencing strategic business decisions/outcomes

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.


-Zone A: $157,600 - $316,700

-Zone B: $144,400 - $290,300

-Zone C: $131,300 - $263,900
