Job description

RiskOne HR Consulting is seeking a Director of Revenue Management responsible for developing and executing revenue optimization strategies to maximize profitability and market share. This role oversees pricing, inventory management, demand forecasting, distribution channel performance, and market analysis for guestrooms, group business and other revenue generating areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily review and implementation of room accommodation and rate inventory controls in OnQ. Includes weekly implementation of roll-in controls.
  • Implement all blackout dates in Netrez/OnQ and review monthly to determine if adjustments are needed.
  • Work with Director of Front Office to ensure that sellout strategies are in place, and that OnQ PMS is balanced daily.
  • Monitor group and transient business thresholds within the five-year forecast to ensure measurable improvements for demand and availability. Supply critical analysis on the effect of short-range decisions effecting occupancy, average rate and rooms profit goals within the current 53-week (OnQ) period.
  • Analysis of city events and activities and to project the effect of opportunities they create. Monitor competitive analysis.
  • Conduct a weekly Revenue Management Meeting where the appropriate booking period is evaluated for proper rate and availability control
  • Ensure OnQ FMS and the General Ledger are balanced daily as it relates to past actuals.
  • Develop annual transient pricing. Ensure pricing in consistent in all distribution channels
  • Provide critical analysis of strategies, room statistics and demand factors.
  • Review end of month rooms statistics reports including FMS, Monthly Revenue Management Reports, STAR, HILSMART, Key Hotel Marketing Reports, Report of Operations, and provide critical analysis on performance vs. forecasts and results of implemented strategies.
  • Conduct displacement analysis of group business, as needed, to determine impact potential business.
  • Review all tentative and definite group bookings, to ensure that they support implemented strategies.
  • Complete weekly booking pace reports and analysis on pace, recommending strategy changes when needed.
  • Analyze past and present trends and make recommendations for future strategies.
  • Prepare all Weekly, Monthly, Rolling Forecasts and Annual Budget
  • Maintain historical data on events and performance on any promotions during these demand-generating events.
  • Provide training to other hotel team members on revenue management procedures and principles, as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of the marketing plan.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to develop promotion and campaign strategies.
  • Participate in weekly commercial strategy meetings.
  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Directly supervise assigned team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching sessions.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and employee development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and performance standards.
  • Lead and mentor revenue management and reservation staff.
  • Establish departmental goals and performance metrics.
  • Provide ongoing training and development.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area and hotel environment.
  • Any other tasks assigned by General Manager or Director.
