Job description

McBride Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Security Assistant to support the Aerospace Dominance Enabler Division (AFLCMC/ESDI) at Hill AFB, Ogden, Utah. The ADE Division provides acquisition, sustainment, and technical expertise to support numerous Air Force systems, including Electronic Warfare, Command and Control Systems, Advanced Radar Threat Systems, Air Combat Training and Aircrew Readiness, and many others across the USAF and joint service environments.

In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.


Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Provide Security Assistant support under the direction of Government Security Managers and Security Administrators.
  • Support collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security programs.
  • Assist the Air Force Cognizant Security Authority (CSA) in execution of security oversight responsibilities.
  • Administer and maintain security programs involving information security, personnel security, operations security (OPSEC), industrial security, communications security (COMSEC), acquisition security, physical security, and anti-terrorism/force protection.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Security Operating Procedures (SOPs), and related security documentation.
  • Support Program Protection Plan (PPP) development and implementation activities.
  • Assist with DD Form 254 preparation, review, coordination, and security requirements administration.
  • Process and manage personnel security actions utilizing DISS and other government security systems.
  • Conduct security inspections, self-assessments, compliance reviews, and audit preparation activities.
  • Support SCIF, CAP, and secure facility operations, including access control, visitor management, and safeguarding classified information.
  • Identify, investigate, and report security incidents, violations, and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide security training, awareness briefings, and guidance to government and contractor personnel.
  • Support anti-terrorism and force protection requirements as directed.
  • Coordinate with military personnel, government civilians, contractors, and external security organizations to ensure mission success.


Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications:


Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Clearance


Preferred Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 years of which must be in the DoD,OR,

    • 30 years of directly related experience, 20 years of which must be in the DoD.

Experience:

  • Understanding of counterintelligence threats and trends
  • Familiarity with DoD and Air Force security policies, manuals, directives, and instructions

  • Experience with DISS, SCIF operations, and DD Form 254 processes

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Other requirements may include but are not limited to:

  • Must be willing to travel within organizations direct area of responsibility
  • Must be willing to adapt to contingency schedule if required by unit in unusual cases of emergency or critical mission support need
  • Must be able to identify classified documents/information, and know proper safeguarding
  • Must complete all required security training in accordance with DoD and Air Force regulations for those filling the role of security assistant.
