Antiterrorism / Force Protection (AT/FP) Analyst provides subject matter expertise in the development, implementation, assessment, and administration of Antiterrorism and Force Protection programs supporting a military service headquarters environment. The AT/FP Analyst will support policy development, risk assessments, exercise planning, training initiatives, and strategic security program execution while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on AT/FP matters. These duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Antiterrorism / Force Protection (AT/FP) Analyst will support the development, implementation, and management of Antiterrorism and Force Protection (AT/FP) policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Analyze and integrate threat information into AT/FP planning, assessments, and operational activities.
  • Antiterrorism / Force Protection (AT/FP) Analyst will conduct AT/FP assessments and evaluations to identify vulnerabilities, analyze problem areas, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of AT/FP exercises ranging from tabletop exercises to full-scale operational exercises.
  • Antiterrorism / Force Protection (AT/FP) Analyst will develop and deliver AT/FP training programs for tactical, operational, and strategic-level personnel.
  • Draft, review, edit, and maintain policies, directives, standard operating procedures (SOPs), Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), job aids, manuals, reports, and other technical documentation.
  • Translate complex technical and security concepts into clear, concise guidance suitable for leadership, government personnel, and the general public.
  • Ensure all written products comply with applicable U.S. Coast Guard correspondence standards, formatting requirements, and organizational guidance.
  • Antiterrorism / Force Protection (AT/FP) Analyst will coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders, subject matter experts, and leadership to develop consensus on policy and program initiatives.
  • Prepare briefings, presentations, reports, and executive-level correspondence.
  • Antiterrorism / Force Protection (AT/FP) Analyst will utilize government databases and systems to support AT/FP program management, compliance monitoring, and assessment activities.
  • Antiterrorism / Force Protection (AT/FP) Analyst will provide recommendations to leadership regarding AT/FP program improvements, emerging threats, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with senior leadership, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting headquarters-level policy development, planning, assessments, and program administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft, edit, and refine complex technical and security-related documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including DOD365 Applications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to government systems and databases, including:
  • Modified Infrastructure Survey Tool (MIST)
  • Interagency Security Committee Compliance System (ISC-CS)
  • Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN)

Minimum Education/General Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 10 years of documented experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting Antiterrorism, Force Protection, Physical Security, Emergency Management, or related security programs within a military, DHS, DoD, or federal agency environment.
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
    • Development and implementation of AT/FP policy at tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
    • Integration of threat information into AT/FP programs.
    • Conducting AT/FP assessments and vulnerability analyses.
    • Developing and delivering AT/FP training programs.
    • Planning and executing tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), or Department of Defense (DoD) organizations.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Coast Guard correspondence and policy development processes.
  • Experience facilitating working groups, security committees, and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with the Interagency Security Committee (ISC) Risk Management Process.
  • Experience supporting critical infrastructure protection, risk management, or continuity programs.
