Responsibilities
  • Assist Substation crews as needed
  • Understand and perform general maintenance and cleanup of substation facilities and property as directed
  • Understand and perform substation inspections and documentation activities that accompany these duties for all substation equipment.
  • Understand and perform equipment oil samples as directed
  • Transport materials and equipment for substations group as needed
  • Physical requirements may include working in confined spaces and in elevated work areas such as heights from ladders, structures, scaffolds, buckets and boom trucks.
  • May work independently or with others, occasionally work long hours during emergency conditions, and be responsible for tools, test equipment, and vehicles 
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or proof of equivalent
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work at heights or in confined spaces
  • Must be able to work inside electrical substations
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement within six (6) months of starting the position.
  • Must have or be able to obtain company required fixed & swing cab crane certifications within one (1) year of starting the position.

The successful candidate must be able to live or move within a reasonable distance to the reporting work location.
