Job Description

Visa Finance is seeking a Director to lead AI-enabled process improvement and operational excellence, with a strong emphasis on strategy execution, governance, coordination, and change management. This role will drive measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, cycle time, and scalability across core Finance processes-particularly FP&A-by combining process design, AIenabled automation, analytics, and disciplined program execution. The Director will be accountable for translating strategy into action by leading complex initiatives endtoend, redesigning Finance processes, and ensuring solutions are effectively implemented, adopted, and sustained across Finance teams.

This role is well suited for a strong program and delivery leader who can manage complex, crossfunctional projects, bring structure to ambiguity, and drive work to completion. The Director will lead Finance AIenabled process transformation-establishing clear governance and decision rights, managing milestones and dependencies, coordinating across Finance, Technology, and Data teams, and proactively addressing risks and tradeoffs. They will identify opportunities for improvement, redesign endtoend workflows, and embed standardization, controls, and continuous improvement practices. While familiarity with AI and automation is important, the role equally prioritizes program leadership, stakeholder alignment, and change management to ensure new ways of working are successfully scaled across Finance.

Essential Functions

  • Process Improvement & AIEnabled Redesign: Lead endtoend Finance process improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problemsolving, applying AI, automation, and analytics as enablers to eliminate manual effort, reduce variability, and improve efficiency, quality, and scalability across core Finance workflows including FP&A, Lead to Cash and Procure to Pay. Lead business requirements collection from key Finance and business stakeholders to inform solutions.
  • Project Management: Drive disciplined execution of AI- enabled process improvement initiatives using Agile delivery models, managing scope, dependencies, risks, and timelines across multiple workstreams with a strong focus on outcomes. Lead Finance AIenabled transformation efforts by establishing governance, decision rights, integrated plans, and execution cadence. Coordinate across Finance, Technology, and Data teams to manage interdependencies, sequence initiatives, resolve tradeoffs, and ensure consistent delivery across a complex portfolio of initiatives.
  • AI Use Case Execution: Support the implementation of AI enabled solutions (e.g., automation, analytics, agent assisted workflows), coordinating with technical teams to ensure solutions align to business intent and are delivered effectively.
  • Metrics, Adoption, Value Realization: Define and track process performance and value metrics, leading change management and adoption to ensure improvements are realized, measured, and sustained over time.
  • Stakeholder Alignment, Change Management & Adoption: Lead change management and crossfunctional coordination to ensure Finance teams understand, trust, and adopt new processes and tools, embedding new ways of working through clear communication, training, and reinforcement.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhDPreferred Qualifications 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD 8-10+ years of experience in process improvement, transformation, or consulting, with significant Finance exposure. Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar process excellence methodologies (certifications strongly preferred). Proven experience leading endtoend process redesign across complex, crossfunctional environments. Demonstrated ability to use AI, automation, or analytics to enable and scale process improvements. Strong understanding of Finance processes (e.g., FP&A, RecordtoReport, OrdertoCash, Deals) Ability to structure ambiguity, prioritize opportunities, and deliver measurable outcomes. Executivelevel communication and stakeholder management skills.

The estimated salary range for this positionis $170,700 to $273,200 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
