Job description

The role  

Havas Production Studios (HPS), located in New York City, is part of the HAVAS Health and You global network of advertising agencies. We produce videos across a broad cross-section of genres and techniques—everything from complex 3D  animation to intricate motion graphics to documentary style live action. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Video Producer well versed in the production and post-production process.  

The ideal candidate will have energy in abundance, an excellent sense of how to portray diverse storytelling  with motion graphics, animation and/or footage, and be able to foster the production  of engaging and emotive content with creative flair. In this role, you will be working closely with agency creative and account teams, New Media Buyers, and our editors and producers. You will  have a hand in every aspect of video and animation production from inception through completion. You will be responsible for producing individual projects; managing project workflows, budgets and timelines;  and coordinating resources and talent. You must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, be comfortable working under pressure, and be extremely organized in delivering  high-quality video  content.

• A background in a professional post-production environment  

• A sound understanding and experience with all elements of the production process  

• A strong understanding of editing workflows and file structuring  

• Experience simultaneously managing multiple projects at an advertising agency or similar work environment  

• Direct video productions and voice-over recording sessions  

• Ensure editors and animators have the necessary directions and assets  

• Estimate, budget, and track video project costs  

• Provide creative and practical input during all production phases  

• Have a creative mindset  

• The ability to establish priorities while handling multiple projects  

• Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Copy Writers  

• Fantastic communication and team skills  

• Maintain quality control to assure that all work meets the highest possible standards  

• Vigilantly seek to optimize resources  

• Foster a positive team atmosphere and establish credibility, both internally and externally  

• Provide constructive and direct ongoing feedback  

• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor  

• Embody service-oriented attitude  

• Uphold quality standards in servicing the Account and Creative Teams, and ultimately the Client  

• Project a professional, positive attitude and image, always representing HPS favorably  

• Experience as a video or filmmaker and/or a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or other post-production software is a plus, but not required.  

• 6+ years experience as a producer
