The Field Service Representative will support the operation of the Customer Service Department. The Field Service Representative routinely meets the customer and is the Company's direct contact with the customer for a variety of issues such as meter and RD configuration, billing concerns, water quality, and general inquiries about water service. As a member of the Distribution Department, the Field Service Representative is also responsible to assist, when necessary, the Distribution Technicians in the operation and maintenance of the distribution system. Field Service Representative work includes, but is not limited to, the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Utilizes tablet technology, email, and automated work order systems (Service Link and SAP Fiori) to review schedule and complete daily customer service orders.
Documents all relevant work and customer interaction within the notes. Advises supervisor of any required additional follow-up communications or actions.
Performs the necessary work required to maintain customers' meters, meter vaults and electronic read devices.
Meets with customers and resolves inquiries regarding water service; provides sampling and information regarding water quality as requested. Refers customers to supervisors for specific inquiries.
Routinely performs the following: meter and RF installations, special reads for billing adjustments, meter repairs, emergency turn offs and turn ons, line locates, service line inspections, daily system chlorine sampling and main break/leak investigations.
Expertly meets internal and external customer requirements, communicates effectively as a representative of the company striving towards customer satisfaction.
Performs housekeeping duties as assigned.
As necessary, assists in all functions of the Distribution Department including after-hours work.
Responds to after-hour call outs for customer service and other Distribution Department work.
All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a high school diploma or the GED equivalent.
Must hold a valid driver's license.
Must be available for emergency work after regular working hours, weekends, holidays and for scheduled overtime.
Company may require applicant to pass reasonable tests-oral, written or practical-to determine his qualifications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have a satisfactory work record (no more than one disciplinary occurrence in last three years).
Must meet the physical qualifications established for this position.
Must hold an OEPA Class I Distribution License or obtain one within the time frame specified in bargaining unit agreement.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
May be subject to extreme temperatures, noise, wet and/or humid conditions, mechanical, electrical, gas exposure hazards, fumes, dusts, mists, gases and /or poor ventilation atmospheric conditions.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Completion of a lift assessment is required for employment
Working conditions include travel to work sites of Essential Utilities and/or other constituents. *Company Vehicle is provided for business purposes
Must be available to work, overtime, weekends, or holidays.

PAY RANGE:

This role offers an hourly pay range of $22.30 - $37.15, determined by experience, skills, and alignment with the position.
