Job description


Position Description:
Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.
Implements solutions and develops software applications by creating responsive front-end User Interfaces (UIs), using JavaScript, CSS, SASS, and HTML. Builds Single Page Applications (SPAs), using Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, and NgRx . Collaborates with architecture, security, and User Experience Design (UXD) to build architecturally compliant applications. Performs automation with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines including unit, component, functional, performance, and security test automation. Performs REST API development using NodeJS, NestJS, ExpressJS, Java, and Spring. Develops frameworks using Underscore, Babel, and Webpack. Provides business solutions by developing moderately complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assists with development efforts by defining architecture and tech stack.
  • Gathers requirements from stakeholders and communicates them with the team.
  • Designs web experiences with a focus on the customers experience.
  • Performs user Test Driven Development (TDD) practices to deliver high quality products.
  • Designs and implements software solutions that meet requirements and are aligned to the project/program strategic direction.
  • Develops and maintains partnerships across the organization.
  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to support on-going development efforts.
  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects involving multiple platforms and supporting a range of divisional initiatives.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assists in the planning and execution of user acceptance testing.
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications in support of corporate initiatives.
  • Develops software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects of moderate scope supporting several self-contained initiatives.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing SPAs on Cloud platforms using Angular in a financial environment.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing SPAs on Cloud platforms using Angular in a financial environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing and developing responsive and single page web applications in financial services domains, using Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, GraphQL, Node, CSS and HTML; performing automation testing using Jasmine, Jest, and Karma; and performing unit, end-to-end, and regression tests using Selenium and Protractor.
  • DE building micro front-end Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) with accessibility (ARIA and WCAG), cross platform compatible; performance testing using Axe DevTools, Lighthouse, Angular DevTools, and JavaScript patterns for asynchronous operations (Promises, callbacks, event loops, and RxJS); applying state management techniques using Angular Reactive Extensions (NgRx); and reviewing and optimizing SQL queries for data efficiency.
  • DE developing RESTful APIs using Spring framework with Json Web Token (JWT), and AJAX for security and authentication; preparing Junit test scripts and scalable micro services using Java and NodeJS; integrating back end services with front-end applications; developing Web applications using NX monorepo architecture and end-to-end testing by Cypress; implementing microservice request using the Axios framework; and supporting UX design and development using Jira, Figma, and InVision.
  • DE developing and deploying services in Cloud environments (Amazon Web Service (AWS) or Azure) and supporting enterprise applications, using CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, SVN, Docker and Bitbucket; maintaining code standards using code quality tools (Sonar and Veracode); debugging and troubleshooting using log monitoring tools (Splunk and Datadog); and delivering high quality code using Test Driven Development (TDD) practices and Agile methodologies.

Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
