Position Description:
Designs and develops scalable, high-complexity applications using Java/Spring and Node.js. Builds cloud-native microservices and serverless solutions on AWS, applying services and best practices across EC2, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation, as well as Infrastructure-as-Code automation using Terraform. Develops modern front-end applications with Angular, TypeScript, and Module Federation-based micro-frontends. Delivers secure REST/SOAP APIs and ensures strong data reliability across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Cockroach DB (CRDB). Drives DevOps excellence by automating and deploying code through Continuous Improvement/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines in Jenkins, enforcing quality gates, and implementing end-to-end monitoring and alerting. Collaborates with stakeholders and upholds engineering excellence across the software development lifecycle. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Participates in end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of high-complexity applications and services, adhering to engineering best practices and organizational standards.
  • Builds and maintains robust front-end apps and scalable backend services ensuring cohesive solution delivery.
  • Implements micro-frontend architectures, establishing shared libraries, versioning strategy, runtime integration, and cross-app UX consistency.
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Contributes to multi-environment deployments, promotes versioning standards, and ensures smooth promotion of releases via automated workflows.
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Implements secure coding practices, and monitors secrets/configuration across environments.
  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
  • Designs, maintains, and optimizes CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, security scans, and deployment workflows across multiple environments.
  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
  • Streamlines development, collaboration, and release cycles.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing high-performance trading and order management applications using Angular, Node.js, and micro-frontend architecture.
Or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing high-performance trading and order management applications using Angular, Node.js, and micro-frontend architecture.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing, developing, and testing Java and J2EE applications and Webservices (SOAP and RESTful); performing Object-oriented design, using MVC and Microservices design patterns -- Spring Boot framework, IDE toolset (Eclipse, VSCODE, or Spring Tool Suite (STS)), GitHub repositories source control, and Maven dependency manager; and performing CI/CD on Unix and Linux Virtual Machines using Jenkins.
  • DE designing and developing highly scalable Single Page Applications (SPA) with cross-browser compatibility and accessibility using standards-compliant client-side technologies -- Angular, Node,js, TypeScript, JQuery, and Module-based micro frontends.
  • DE designing and developing web applications using Java, Spring MVC, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Angular, and Node.js; and building cloud-native microservices and supporting server-side components using REST APIs and back-end SQL Stored Procedure components.
  • DE designing and delivering software features and functionality using Java, Spring, GIT, REST, and Angular; and developing multi-tier internet-facing web applications with TypeScript, Node.js, HTML5 and CSS.
