AdventHealth Orlando and AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) are seeking a dynamic and innovative Pulmonary Critical Care physician to join an established practice in Orlando, Florida. This position offers dedicated inpatient and outpatient pulmonary time with a rotating ICU block, working alongside experienced pulmonologists and advanced practice providers. The role involves collaborating with advanced lung disease specialists, interventional pulmonology, thoracic surgeons, and the pulmonology transplant team to grow and establish a high-quality Pulmonary Critical Care program throughout the AdventHealth System in Central Florida.

Practice Info

  • Established practice in Orlando, Florida
  • Dedicated inpatient and outpatient pulmonary time with a rotating ICU block of approximately 1:8 weeks
  • Work with experienced and established pulmonologists and advanced practice providers
  • Collaborate with advanced lung disease specialists, interventional pulmonology, thoracic surgeons, and pulmonology transplant medical/care team
  • Strong referral base and access to supporting specialists
  • Heart Lung and Vascular Institute is one of the busiest centers of its kind in the nation

Responsibilities

  • Dedicated inpatient and outpatient pulmonary time with a rotating ICU block of approximately 1:8 weeks
  • Build and cultivate the Pulmonary Critical Care program throughout the AdventHealth System in Central Florida
  • Build a patient base within the local community
  • Inpatient Rounding primarily at AdventHealth Winter Park Hospital and AdventHealth Orlando Hospital, potentially including AdventHealth East Orlando Hospital
  • Outpatient responsibilities include clinic time at the Ridgewood Office
  • Perform procedures including traditional bronchoscopy, EBUS, thoracentesis and all necessary procedures for the ICU
  • Involvement in the Pulmonary Critical Care fellowship with direct instruction or supervision of fellows and participation in education lectures
  • Participation in Thoracic Tumor Board

Shift & Schedule

  • Dedicated ICU shifts, approximately 46 shifts a year

Requirements

  • Board Certification or eligibility in Pulmonary Disease & Critical Care (ABIM)
