The Senior Director of Manufacturing Quality is responsible for providing overall leadership in executing the Quality Management System within a manufacturing environment. The position works closely with product line management and cross-functional teams-including Technology, Product Management, Operations, Engineering, and Supplier Quality-to address and reduce the Cost of Quality and enhance product profitability. The leader will drive operational excellence by promoting a high-performance quality culture, implementing Lean process improvements, and coordinating strategic initiatives such as Newfi implementation and quality teardowns. Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of the Quality Management System across the manufacturing environment.

  • Collaborate with product line teams including Technology, Product Management, Operations, and Plant Management-to address and reduce the Cost of Quality, improving product margins and profitability.

  • Drive a high-performance, cross-functional Quality Organization spanning manufacturing, plant quality, engineering, supplier quality, and advanced quality engineering.

  • Communicate quality strategies and outcomes effectively to senior leadership.

  • Demonstrate ownership of plant quality metrics (e.g., SCR, PQR, OGR, yield, scrap, concessions, insurance, damage) and partner with internal teams and suppliers to enhance these metrics.

  • Lead efforts to improve test requirements, process improvements, change control, designs, and supplier metrics.

  • Coordinate strategic initiatives such as Newfi implementation, quality teardowns, and Gemba walks to enhance quality levels.

  • Promote Lean process improvements to support a Lean Production System and lower the cost of quality.

  • Prioritize quality projects, assign resources, and ensure timely implementation and benefits realization.

  • Ensure alignment with the site's Factory Master Plan by integrating necessary resources for continuous quality improvement.

  • Compile and analyze data and plant reports for leadership reviews; participate in review meetings and reporting sessions.

  • Attend production and escalation meetings; proactively escalate and resolve quality issues as they arise.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or BA Degree in Engineering or related discipline.

  • 12 +years of leadership experience leading a team in operations, quality and/or technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive operations/manufacturing quality experience

  • Knowledge of Appliances manufacturing processes

  • High initiative, self-starter, proactive, dedicated, results oriented, a team player.

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in high volume manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams and setting strategy and vision. Requires broad management knowledge.

  • Large NPI program management experience.

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification

  • Proven ability to influence, manage teams, and deliver change.

  • Proven analytical ability.

  • Proven ability to direct team to root cause and deliver corrective actions

  • Experience & training in lean manufacturing practices

  • Quality Leadership Experience

Working Conditions:

  • Travel to suppliers and other manufacturing locations as needed (5-10%)
