Platform Distribution Operations provides operational and technical expertise, support, direction and strategic guidance and project management for all of Platform Distribution including theatrical, linear networks, AVOD/SVOD, transactional, syndication and direct-to-consumer products. Platform Distribution Operations collaborates with, influences and directs prioritization of work with Technology, Disney Streaming, Studio Operations, Broadcast Operations, ESPN and WDTV Programming and Production, ESPN and WDTV Legal, Accounting, Finance, Research and Marketing and Disney Ad Sales and with external distribution partners, sports league partners, software and hardware vendors, content delivery service providers and consultants.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with team members to fulfill contractual obligations regarding the technical integrations for data, measurement and advertising implementations with our distribution partners.
  • Project manages multiple operational initiatives simultaneously, including creating project roadmaps/timelines, identifying key milestones, ensure documentation is up-to-date and provide timely status updates.
  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders internal to TWDC and with external partners and vendors.
  • Participate in the launch of new distribution partners and new content to existing partners to support distribution growth.
  • Collaborate with various teams including sales, finance, research and others to support forecasting and revenue analysis.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
  • Support the distribution sales teams in deal negotiations by providing subject matter expertise related to advertising, data and measurement.
  • Participate in a variety of special projects needed to advance business and improve efficiency.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, problem solving and effective communication under tight timelines.
  • Fulfillment of advertising, data and measurement obligations with our distribution partners.
  • Project manages multiple operational initiatives simultaneously, including creating project roadmaps/timelines, identifying key milestones, ensure documentation is up-to-date and provide timely status updates.
  • Regular communication with key stakeholders internal to TWDC and with external partners and vendors.
  • Participation in supporting the launch of new distribution partners and new content to existing partners.
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation related to the processes, concepts and technical requirements of data, measurement and advertising integrations for our products and the distribution partners and vendors we serve.
  • Supporting the distribution sales team's negotiations by providing subject matter expertise regarding advertising, data and measurement
  • Display a basic understanding of content distribution and the competitive landscape for networks (e.g., ABC, ESPN), transactional, and direct-to-consumer (e.g., Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu).

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in Advertising Operations, Measurement and Data Operations, Sales Operations, Content Distribution, Media Operations, Contract Management, Project Management and/or Product Implementation.
  • Ability to manage and properly prioritize numerous near-term projects while also setting a strong foundation for accomplishing medium/long term efforts.
  • Show a strong commitment to collaborating within larger teams and making those around you better.
  • Contribute to the values and success of the overall team by displaying a positive attitude and demonstrating a desire to be part of an inclusive first-in-class organization.
  • A basic knowledge of the multi-channel video programming distribution landscape including digital media, programming, content distribution, contractual compliance and market positioning.
  • Excellent inter-personal, organizational, presentation, writing, customer service and computer skills (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability. Able to see tasks through to completion with minimal guidance.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Demonstrate straightforward leadership capabilities that enable this individual to coalesce a broad internal cross functional team around an agreed objective.
  • Must thrive in a role primarily driven by projects focused on technical and operational requirements.
  • Must be able to elicit requirements from various business units across organizational and geographical boundaries.
  • Strong conference call, meeting facilitation and note taking skills.
  • Possess analytical skills and technical acumen.
  • Has experience with project management tools, techniques and documentation.
  • Has familiarity with advertising and/or measurement tools (i.e. Google Ad Manager, FreeWheel, Adobe, Snowflake, JIRA).
  • Limited non-traditional work hours depending on business needs.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

#DISNEYPLATFORMDISTRIBUTION

The hiring range for this position in Bristol, CT is $70,300 - $96,500 per year. The base payactually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
