FLSA Status: Exempt


JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Director Digital Marketing supports the department’s marketing sales growth by managing all aspects of our digital marketing efforts. Seeking a savvy digital marketer who is a strategic and creative thinker responsible for building, planning, and implementing digital marketing strategies that drive measurable results. This role is tasked with managing the strategy, leading team members, strengthening digital performance and staying current with the latest technology and best practices.

Our ideal candidate should bring in-depth knowledge and understanding of digital advertising, paid search, paid social, analytics, campaign optimization, vendor management, budget stewardship, and performance reporting.

This role will co-own the digital roadmap related to measurement, campaign tracking, attribution, tagging standards, and reporting in partnership with the Marketing Operations/Data Analyst, IT, vendors, and the CMO. This role will also support marketing technology stack.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Associate Director Digital Marketing oversees all digital marketing channels and successfully manages the digital marketing budget. In this role, you’ll be responsible for measuring and optimizing the results of our digital activity, including paid media, search, social, campaign, funnel and analytics data to develop performance analysis. This position will anticipate trends, investigate benchmarks, and provide suggestions for improvement.

Job responsibilities include:

• Collaborate across multiple teams (marketing, member service, IT, etc.) to coordinate and launch quality marketing campaigns.

• Own upper, middle, and lower funnel digital marketing , across paid search, paid social, display, video and related digital channels to include program development, implementation, monitoring, tracking, and reporting that support acquisitions, lead generation and demand generation.

• Manage the digital marketing budget, including pacing, forecasting, spend allocation, performance analysis, and monthly budget transparency to leadership.

• Detailed understanding of digital marketing technology, best practices, messaging, and campaign tracking and performance processes.

• Lead Paid Media Specialist and provide hands-on oversight of marketing programs and external vendor partnerships.

• Provide strategic direction for paid media testing, audience targeting, bidding, channel mix, funnel strategy, and campaign optimization.

• Develop new ideas to improve our digital customer experience, increase qualified applications, reduce acquisition costs and improve campaign performance.

• Monitor analytics tracking and data quality for digital campaigns to ensure high-quality data is captured in reporting tools.

• Co-own the digital measurement roadmap related to campaign tracking, attribution, tagging standards, and reporting.

• Maintain a holistic view of user experience across all digital campaign touchpoints and how marketing campaigns affect these touchpoints to drive customer acquisition.

• Improve key metrics – conversion rates cost per acquisition, cost per lead, return on ad spend, and application volume.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 5–7 years digital marketing experience, with agency experience preferred.

• 3+ years leading and managing digital marketing team members.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing advertising platforms and campaign operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field required; MBA preferred.

• Competence in Microsoft Office -- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to balance big-picture strategy with hands-on digital marketing execution.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate performance data into actionable recommendations.

• Experience leading paid media initiatives across platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, Reddit, and LinkedIn

• Proficiency with analytics, reporting, and tracking platforms such as GA4, GTM, Looker Studio, Power BI, and other marketing measurement tools.

• Experience developing budget recommendations, monitoring campaign pacing, and reallocating spend to maximize performance.

• Ability to manage changing priorities, deadlines, vendors, and cross-functional dependencies.

• Commitment to continuous testing, learning, and performance improvement.
