Our work depends on Director of Fiscal Agent Operations joining our team to ensure the successful operation of the program, meet customer objectives, achieve monthly service level commitments to the customer, adapt the program to meet the evolving needs of the customer through collaboration with customer executives using the contractual change management process, and handle performance escalations from program stakeholders.

The NCMMIS - Director of Fiscal Agent Operations WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • The NCMMIS program built and operates the NCTracks system, a multi-payer claims adjudication system for the State of North Carolina and is the Medicaid fiscal agent for NC DHHS.
  • The Director of Fiscal Agent Operations is second in command for NCMMIS program; leader of fiscal agent operations functions; assumes Executive Account Director (EAD) responsibilities when EAD is away or not available.
  • The Director of Fiscal Agent Operations is also the senior subject matter expert with an in-depth working knowledge of the NC Medicaid and Health Choice Programs acting as a resource for fiscal agent operations areas of the program subordinate to this position and to the Applications Services Group as required in the development and validation of business requirements for system enhancements.
  • This position is responsible for the financial performance of the areas of the program reporting to the position taking an active role in planning, budgeting, and optimizing the financial performance of the program.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and Health Choice programs, preferably in North Carolina
  • Fourteen or more years of experience related to health care administrative management.
  • Ten or more years of experience in State Medicaid
  • Over 5 years of leadership experience in a large organization
  • Experience in customer interaction to help bring solutions to their business challenges
  • PMI PMP Certification or commitment to achieve certification
  • Strong human relations skills to select, develop, coach, and mentor employees
  • Location: Hybrid

The likely salary range for this position is $161,500 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
