Job description

Yaskawa America, Inc. - Drives & Motion Division is a U.S. corporation, created to provide Automation Solutions and Support to our customers in North America, Central America, and South America. Yaskawa America, Inc. - Drives & Motion Division is a wholly-owned corporation of Yaskawa Electric Corporation of Japan. Since 1915, Yaskawa Electric has served the world needs for products to improve global productivity through Automation.
Yaskawa is currently seeking a Strategic Account Representative for our Semiconductor OEM business.
In this hybrid role, you will monitor customer request dates and forecasts and work closely with demand planning and supply chain management to expedite products and as necessary, work with engineering to find acceptable alternative products, communicate items ready to ship and determine desired shipping requirements with customer. Create customs invoices and labels, update customer portal as well as coordinate shipping needs such as air, boat, etc. to fill orders more efficiently. In this high visibility role, you will work closely with Yaskawa Japan regarding orders, forecasts, changes and expedite requests.
Represent Inside Sales in weekly production planning meetings and assist demand-planning efforts through system and transaction maintenance, forecasting and monitoring of stock as well as via demand planning meetings. Monitors sales booking and billings in relationship to backlog and forecasts and work with outside sales team to maintain current and capture new business.
The successful candidate will have a degree in business or equivalent experience in supply chain handling complex product issues and demanding customer facing experience. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the industrial automation and semiconductor industry as well as a technical orientation sufficient to support the sales of electrical and mechanical products. The perfect candidate will have a strong working knowledge of SAP, ability to communicate and negotiate with all levels of internal and external organizations globally as well as anticipate issues in advance.
This is a demanding role and requires someone with the schedule flexibility for evening meetings several times a month, handle pressure situations with changing requirements and deadlines, while focused on favorable solutions for all.
