Corp Director of Event Services & Catering Sales

The Corp Director of Event Services & Catering Sales directs and oversees event management, sales and operations across all three properties. They lead the event staff, manage banquet departmental budgets, and drive marketing/sales strategies to maximize catering revenues. The director also ensures seamless event turnover from sales to operations, maintains high client satisfaction, and enforces brand service standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide executive leadership for event services and catering sales across all three properties
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic plans to increase catering and banquet revenue
  • Align event operations with overall company objectives and brand standards
  • Identify growth opportunities in corporate, social, and group segments
  • Drive catering and banquet sales to maximize total property revenue
  • Develop pricing strategies, sales goals, and revenue forecasts
  • Oversee prospecting, contract negotiations, and high-profile client relationships
  • Collaborate with marketing to create promotions and campaigns targeting key market segments
  • Analyze market trends, competitive data, and performance metrics
  • Monitor revenue, labor costs, food & beverage margins, and overall profitability
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and financial reporting
  • Ensure seamless transition of events from sales to event planning to operations execution
  • Oversee planning, logistics, and execution of all catered events and banquets
  • Maintain operational efficiency and high service standards across all properties
  • Resolve operational challenges and high-level client concerns
  • Maintain strong relationships with key corporate and social clients
  • Ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business
  • Oversee service recovery for escalated client issues
  • Maintain brand service standards and guest experience consistency
  • Enforce company and brand service standards across all properties
  • Ensure compliance with safety, food handling, and contractual requirements
  • Maintain consistency in event quality, presentation, and guest experience
  • Ensure consistent communication between property-level teams and corporate leadership

Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 year full-service hotel experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food and beverage basics, vendor management, menu planning, and event coordination
  • Basic knowledge of hospitality industry
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extremely detail oriented personality
