Job summary 

Valiantys is looking for a Director, Data & Enterprise Architecture Transformation to drive sales and growth across a portfolio of Valiantys' strategic and enterprise accounts. They will act as a trusted advisor to CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, and VPs of Data & Architecture -- translating their business goals into multi-year transformation roadmaps spanning enterprise data strategy, data platform modernization, data governance, and enterprise architecture. They will own new logo acquisition and existing account expansion, facilitate executive alignment and value realization, and lead pursuit and delivery consultants to win and execute high-impact engagements.  

What you'll be working on
  • Own executive relationships across a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts; serve as the single point of accountability for client outcomes, satisfaction, and growth. 

  • Co-develop and execute account strategies that expand Valiantys' footprint across data strategy, data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), data governance, and enterprise architecture. 

  • Lead solutioning for complex pursuits -- partnering internally to scope data modernization, data mesh/fabric, MDM, and enterprise architecture engagements. 

  • Shape and communicate target architectures spanning business, application, data, and technology domains -- including cloud data platforms, analytics, AI/ML foundations, and governance frameworks. 

  • Govern delivery quality in partnership with engagement managers; intervene on escalations and ensure architectural integrity. 

  • Represent Valiantys in executive briefings, QBRs, industry events, and joint go-to-market activities. 

  • Mentor consultants and architects, contributing to Valiantys' practice development in data strategy and enterprise architecture. 

 

Do you have what it takes to be our new Director, Data & Enterprise Architecture Transformation?

  • 10+ years in consulting, professional services, or enterprise technology roles, with at least 5 years in client-facing leadership (Client Partner, Engagement Director, or equivalent). 

  • Data Strategy expertise: proven track record defining and executing enterprise data strategies -- data operating models, governance, data quality, MDM, and analytics & BI modernization. 

  • Enterprise Architecture expertise: demonstrated experience leading EA programs across business, application, data, and technology architecture domains, including target operating models and cloud architecture blueprints. 

  • Data Platform/Engineering background: hands-on or architectural depth across modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), data mesh/fabric patterns, lakehouse architectures, ELT/ETL, and streaming. 

  • Cloud & Infrastructure foundation: strong foundation in cloud architecture -- networking, identity, security, scalability, and reliability engineering at enterprise scale across AWS, Azure, or GCP. 

  • Certifications: Active AWS, Azure, or GCP Solutions Architect Professional certification; TOGAF 9 or TOGAF 10 Certified preferred 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-million-dollar account portfolios and complex pursuits. 

  • Excellent executive communication, commercial acumen, and consultative selling skills. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree a plus. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience within the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Rovo). 

  • Additional certifications: Snowflake SnowPro, Databricks Certified Data Engineer/Architect, Azure/GCP Data Engineer. 

  • Experience designing AI/ML data foundations -- feature stores, vector stores, and governed data products supporting RAG and agentic workflows. 

  • Delivery experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, life sciences) with familiarity in GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and BCBS 239. 

  • Established network within AWS and Azure partner organizations and joint GTM motions. 

  • Prior P&L ownership in a consulting or systems integrator environment. 

Location: This role can be located in Canada or in the United States. We offer flexible remote working policy.
$175,000 - $240,000 a year
$175K to $210K USD base + 15-20% performance bonus
$210K to $250K CAD base + 15-20% performance bonus
