About This Role
RGP is seeking a Finance Director Consultant with a strong biotechnology or life sciences background to support Clinical Development Finance. This strategic business partner will oversee financial planning for active clinical trials, working closely cross-functional leaders to drive financial performance and support key business decisions
Work Location: Onsite 3 days/week (Mon to Wed) - Irvine, CA.92612 and 2 days remote
Duration: 6+ months, likely to extend/convert
Pay Rate Range: $85/hr-$100/hr
What You Will Work On
Responsibilities
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and long-range planning for Clinical Development.
  • Manage financial oversight of four clinical trials, including variance analysis and scenario planning.
  • Partner with VPs and department leaders to develop budgets and provide financial guidance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and executive-level financial reports.
  • Develop financial models and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

What You Will Bring
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • FP&A or finance experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences, REQUIRED.
  • Direct experience supporting Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, or clinical trial finance.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and scenario modeling.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling experience.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and executive presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leadership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
