Director, Site Events & Activations

The Director, Site Events & Activations provides strategic and operational leadership for the development, proposal, and delivery of a suite of site-based events and activations for an assigned client account across multiple locations. Working within an outsourced services model, this role is responsible for shaping the overall approach to site events and activations, including establishing the planning framework, guiding the creation of an annual calendar of events, and ensuring the approved calendar is delivered in alignment with client priorities, workplace objectives, and employee experience goals. The Director plays a central role in defining how events and activations support business outcomes, strengthen employee connection, and create value for the client.

This role also sets the tone for a hospitality-led, service-first culture within the function. The Director is expected to champion customer service excellence as a core part of the operating model, ensuring that events and activations are not only strategically aligned and well-executed, but also welcoming, inclusive, and reflective of a high-quality service experience. In this senior client-facing role, the Director works across a complex matrix of client leaders, internal account teams, strategic partners, vendors, and other service providers to align priorities, establish service standards, guide team performance, and ensure seamless delivery. The role oversees budget planning, governance, continuous improvement, and performance measurement, while also driving innovation in how the annual calendar is developed and delivered. The ideal candidate brings strategic leadership, strong client partnership skills, and a deep commitment to hospitality, with the ability to translate service expectations into a differentiated and measurable employee and client experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not necessary if candidate has related conference services experience
  • 7 to 10 years hotel or conference center experience
  • Abreast of industry trends
  • Superior quantitative, oral and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills
  • Excellent overall computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business
  • Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
