Special Access Program (SAP) Security Specialist
Serve as a frontline defender of our nation's most highly classified military secrets. In this critical national security role, you will protect the organization from espionage, terrorism, and unauthorized disclosure by administering comprehensive security operations across Special Access Program (SAP), Collateral, and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) enclaves.
What you will accomplish:
- High-Consequence Security Mission: Play a direct, hands-on role in safeguarding critical technologies, personnel, and information vital to national defense and global mission success.
- Multidisciplinary Security Command: Direct a diverse portfolio of security functions, including Physical, Personnel, Information, Industrial, Operational (OPSEC), and Communications (COMSEC) security.
- Enterprise-Wide Authority: Join an elite SAP security management team responsible for shaping security policies, conducting vital security training, and leading security incident investigations.
- SAP, SCI & Collateral Administration: Implement, monitor, and enforce rigid security programs to protect highly restricted software development pipelines and mission assets.
- Counter-Intelligence & Threat Mitigation: Defend the organization against espionage, sabotage, terrorism, and unauthorized disclosures of sensitive defense data.
- Force Protection & Antiterrorism: Support robust Physical Security and Antiterrorism programs to secure personnel, infrastructure, and secure facilities (SCIFs).
- Personnel & Incident Management: Oversee personnel security clearances, lead comprehensive security training initiatives, and manage the rapid investigation of security incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
- Employee needs to obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of SAP required to perform daily duties.
-The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
-Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise
- May require the employee to work outside the normal business hours
- This position is a designated National Security Position
- Designated drug testing position
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirement(s) may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of security specialties, concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices to independently manage assigned programs.
2. Knowledge of DoD and AF mission, functions, and structure to the unit level to ensure effective implementation and oversight of special programs security concepts, principles, and practices.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of all Information Security disciplines and governing policies, directives, instructions, and procedures.
4. Knowledge of General Supply Administration (GSA) specifications; state-of-the-art detection and surveillance systems, construction standards, automated data processing systems and other security concepts to integrate the requirements of all security disciplines into guidance for the implementation and management of the AFMC special programs information security program.
5. Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct surveys/studies, accomplish projects, and effectively evaluate results for the effective management and completion of programs.
6. Able to effectively manage and organize various program activities and tasks, singularly and together, and familiar with administrative requirements of USAF and AFMC.
