Job description

Part-Time Band Teacher & Liturgical Music Support

St. Patrick Catholic School is a Christ-centered community dedicated to academic excellence, faith formation, and the development of the whole child. Guided by our belief that "God is central, Christ is the Way, we are always learning, we are unique and valuable, and we are united in love" we seek an educator who can inspire students through music while supporting the liturgical life of our school.

Position Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

* Provide band instruction to students in grade 5 and possibly middle school.
* Develop and direct instrumental ensembles.
* Prepare students for school concerts and special performances.
* Support and coordinate music for weekly school Masses and liturgical celebrations.
* Assist students in preparing music for special events, prayer services, and school celebrations.
* Foster a positive, engaging, and faith-filled learning environment.
* Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and performance opportunities.
* Maintain music equipment, instruments, and instructional materials.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

* A bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field.
* Teaching experience with elementary or middle school students preferred.
* Experience directing instrumental ensembles and/or school bands.
* Familiarity with Catholic liturgy and sacred music is preferred.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* The ability to support the mission and values of Catholic education.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule based on student enrollment, band rehearsals, and liturgical needs. Some evening performances and special school events may be required.
