What you will have an opportunity to do:

Assist Professional Staff with management, staffing and daily operations duties. Under the direction of the Head Golf Professional, performs limited teaching functions, assist with pro shop operations to include booking tee times, charging members and guests and clear communication with outside service team. This person will work closely with outside service team to coordinate all member and resort activities.

Under Direction of Head Golf professional, responsible for daily operation of the pro shop and related golf course activities. Assist Head Professional in setup and execution of all member and resort group play. Communicates clearly to outside service team and starters/player assistants all changes to tee sheets and other important information. Secures and protects the company assets, including facilities and equipment.

Implement general policies established by the Head Golf Professional, directs their administration and execution. Under the direction of the Golf Professional, performs daily tasks and supervises work activities of personnel in the department.
Recommends employment, supervises and trains outside service team. Assist in maintaining work records and schedules for starters/player assistants.
Keeps accurate records as determined by Golf Professional. Reconciles daily and weekly golf round counts from tee sheets to those tabulated in the computer. Transmit information to appropriate person/department. Maintain handicap records.
Assist in managing on-course pace of play, outside service team and starter/player assistants responsibilities and merchandiser with merchandising of golf shop.
Enhance teaching skills by assisting with golf schools and clinics and observing private lessons given by Director of Instruction, Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional.

Attend conferences, workshops and meetings to keep further personal knowledge and stay current with developments in the field.

What are we looking for?

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the property.
Daily lineups with Outside Service team to ensure everyone is aware of the current day's events, future member events, and group outings from the resorts.
Promote goodwill and camaraderie amongst the golf membership and golf operations team.

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Ability to achieve positive guest relations and maximize guest satisfaction.
Assist professional staff in management and direction golf operations team.
Must have broad knowledge of golf operations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
Understanding of merchandising and retail shop operations.
Computer skills to include basic POS knowledge, Handicap and tournament software programs and Microsoft
Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
Ability to grasp, lift, carry or transport up to 50 pounds.
