Job description

Summary and Objectiveย 

The Airframe and Powerplant Technician is responsible forย performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs with a primary focus on the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan platform. This role requires strong working knowledge of turboprop systems, PT6 engine operations, and high-utilizationย aircraftย maintenance environments. All work must be performed in compliance with FAA Part 145 and Part 135 standards.ย 

Essential Functionsย

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Cessna 208B Grand Caravanย aircraft, ensuring airworthiness and operational readiness.ย ย 

  • Troubleshoot and repair PT6A engine systems, propeller systems, fuel systems, and avionics interfaces specific to Caravan operations.ย ย 

  • Conduct detailed inspections including 100-hour, annual, progressive, and phase inspectionsย in accordance withย FAA regulations.ย ย 

  • Interpret and apply OEM maintenance manuals, IPCs, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins related to the Caravan platform.ย ย 

  • Diagnose mechanical discrepancies using pilot write-ups, system diagnostics, and hands-on inspection techniques.ย ย 

  • Ensure proper documentation of all maintenance activities in Corridor, CAMP, or equivalent systems.ย ย 

  • Perform structural repairs, including sheet metal work, asย required.ย ย 

  • Maintain compliance with all FAA regulations, company SOPs, and safety programs.ย ย 

  • Support AOG response as needed, including rapid troubleshooting and return-to-service actions.ย ย 

  • Ensure all work areas, tooling, and equipment are maintained in a safe and compliant condition.ย ย 

Skills and Abilitiesย 

  • Strongย expertiseย with Cessna Caravan (208B) systems and maintenance practices.ย ย 

  • Solid understanding of Pratt & Whitney PT6A engine troubleshooting and maintenance.ย ย 

  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical manuals and wiring schematics.ย ย 

  • High attention to detail with strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.ย ย 

  • Ability to perform in high-tempo,ย operational environments with minimal supervision.ย ย 

  • Strong communicationย skills for coordination with maintenance control, pilots, and leadership.ย ย 

  • Proficiencyย in maintenance tracking systems (Corridor, CAMP).ย ย 

Competenciesย 

  • Working knowledge of 14 CFR (FAA regulations), Part 135/145 operationsย ย

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License

  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations andaircraftmaintenance procedures

  • Mustbe authorized towork lawfully in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-utilization turboprop operations (cargo, charter, or Part 135)

  • Prior experience supporting AOG or field maintenance operations

  • Familiarity with Garmin avionics commonly installed in Caravanaircraft
